My? fellow commiesutra buddies are probably already aware that I am a pretty big advocate of meditation/yoga and other similar activities.? ? To most folks the whole meditation deal is a bit of a joke and? probably seems like a big waste of? time. ? This is not to be faulted, because when I wasn’t aware of its potential benefits I too found it to be kind of comical to watch people “Meditate” with super serious faces (Mercuda I think I stilll have that picture you took of me meditating in New Orleans :P).? ? philosophically,? doesn’t it just seem obvious that if we cleanse our minds, it would have a positive influence on our relationships with the rest of society?? ? Imagine that meditation could potentially eliminate wars and stuff!?
Try meditation

I’m starting this new feature at The Commie Sutra entitled “Straight Up - Cut and Dry”. Basically, it’s meant to be one of those “in your face” type of things where I “tell is like it is” (as if there was any other way to tell it). This feature is concerned with getting to the “bottom line”, and “rolling up our sleeves” so we can get to the “nitty gritty”. It’s going to be “cutting edge”, but “at the end of the day” you know I’ll always “stick to my guns”.
If you want to know where I got the idea for the awesome name for the feature, here’s what I did: I made up a chart of about a hundred cliches, and I just started connecting them until I got one that sounded cool and spelled “SUCD!”
Cliches kick ass.

Tim Gallagher, a not-so popular Canadian blogger, recently posted a short blurb about his plans to visit Paramount Canada’s Wonderland. About two hours after posting, he excitedly returned to his web site to see if anybody had left a comment, but alas, there were none.

Totally bummed out, and unable to fathom why somebody wouldn’t want to comment on his post, Tim broke down and cried. He has yet to return to the blogoshpere.

I don’t know what Purplehaze, Zoro, or A-Star are actually doing, but it’s safe to say that neither of us are blogging. If I say we’re “on hiatus”, it not only makes it sound like we were doing something important in the first place, but it also implies? we are? doing something significant right now… Which in my case is totally untrue.
