Make no mistake…

Filed under: Satire, The US — Zoroxstar @ 6:29 am

You may have thought that there were no casualties in Iraq anymore in the US. That’s the impression that I had. We would regularly hear ‘2 soldiers dead from suicide bomber’, ‘3 us soldiers dead from roadside bomb; … and it just went all away.
After noticing that the Iraqis security force and civilians dead were being only reported, I thought to myself well looks like they gave the dirty mess they created to the Iraqis themselves to clean it up…
Well, I discovered through another blogger at bravejournal that a neighbour family was affected from the death of a US soldier.
There is not much to say in such circumstances. I doubt that saying “He served his countries” brings any recomfort.

But I wondered why I had not read/heard about it ? Had I become Dumboy ? ‘Protesting’ in front of Army forts and encouraging my compatriots to go to Iraq and not realizing that I was sending them to a potential death ?

So I thought to myself… “mmm that’s a US casualties since a long time, but nothing nowhere’… So I looked more deeply and started to find the truth.
And then it struck me … Just like the kids dying from hunger in Africa, the casualties in Iraq have been an ‘acceptable’ event. We have been desensitized. Well THEY. The one supporting the war.
I looked a bit around, and it seems that good old CNN is keeping a ‘nice’ list.

To sum it up, since september, most of the times two young male soldier in quest of a job, for a way to pay their tuition fee, or feed their families died per day.
I am just speechless.

And we hear Christian Fundamentalist hoousewifes talking about CAB (Combat Action Badge) that the husband got ???? [And some other thousdand of husband will get]
Is not she the one “supporting” the troops ?
Why does not she for EACH of the fallen soldiers post a tribue and a little biography on their life ?? Instead of writing about the CAB ? Did not she realize that the family of one of those soldiers could read he arrogance ?
And … after all CNN the “MSM” did it ! So why not YOU ?

I will give you a medal. Because you do seem to live for medals and recognition.
To your husband the medal of arrogance… and to yourself the medal of hypocrisy.

The revolution will not be televised

Filed under: Communism — Zoroxstar @ 6:56 am

A little summary of “The revolution will not be televised” In 2001, Kim Bartley and Donnacha O’Briain traveled to Venezuela to videotape a behind-the-scenes profile of President Hugo Chavez, the democratically elected leftist president who had been swept into office by a groundswell of support from the poor sections of Venezuela’s cities and countryside. While filming in April of 2002, they found themselves in the midst of a coup attempt against Chavez, and their cameras were there to capture those incredible moments of April 2002. [from http://www.chavezthefilm.com]

Chavez, making a speech.

Chavez, a president loved by the people

But the private media with ties to Oil companies spread lies on him… a lot of lies, especially when there is total freedom of expression. (There is ONE state channel, while there are 5 private channels controlled by powerful economic interests)

When there is Oil in the air, the US is always concerned.

Especially since Hugo Chavez want to distribute the wealth generated by oil to the Venezuelans.

Chavez has to face the lies and brainwashing of the private media

After Chavez announcements to shake the oil state structure, Pedro Carmona, president of Venezuela’s largest business federation and Carlos Ortega, head of CTV, a trade union with strong ties to the old political systems traveled both to the white house to discuss about president Chavez.

All of sudden the CIA concerns were shared by a group of high ranking military generals, spreading their message on private TV channel

Carmona called an opposition march to the headquarters of the state oil company.

And Carmona pushed the people to walk to Chavez presidential palace (in violation to the law). Watch the American flag among the people… this is priceless.

But Chavez supporters were around the palace and protecting him. Carmona and Ortega were being told to stop trying to create a confrontation.

The opposition was approaching the palace where thousands of Chavez supporters were around the palace. All of sudden people were being snipped at.

Chavez supporters were being snipped at, to push them to confrontation.

Carmona and Ortega forced Chavez to surrender thanks to the control of the high ranking generals on the army.

The day after the coup d’etat, the private media revealed that everything was planned ahead to take over Chavez.

And that the confrontation was in purpose…

Chavez was being accused of repressing freedom of expression…. (???) when at the same time the opposition lead by Carmona and Ortega took over the state channel. They had all the media in control and claimed that Chavez had resigned.

The people spontaneously revolted and took over the streets.

But the new regimes was trying to create a climate of fear to stop Chavez supporters from revolting

A Chavez supporter that got his finger cut yelling that he wants Chavez back!

Slowly, despite the fact that the media was in control of the opposition, Chavez supporters joined together in the street and learned that he did not resign, making it illegal and against the constitution that Carmona made himself president.

The people, Chavez supporters gathered around the palace and asked for Chavez

At the same time, the republican guard seeing that the people were with them decided to take over Carmona’s regime.

The republican guards loyal to Chavez, despite the orders given by the high ranking generals take over the palace and Carmona’s government.

But it’s too late, Carmona and the rest fled and emptied even the safe. Greedy pigs.

The people around the palace celebrate their victory.

Carmona’s regime still in power of the private media AND the state channel spread lies that everything is in control. However the old Chavez government denounces the lies spread on CNN. Chavez supporters got hold of the state TV, and the army recognized Chavez as its learder.

Chavez after having been detained off the country is being brought back.
His words at his speech:
Those of you, who oppose me, fine oppose me. I wish I could change your minds. But you cannot oppose this constitution.
But most importantly, don’t be poisoned. Don’t let them poison you with their lies.

So what happened to Ortega, Carmona, high ranking army generals?
Carmona: Under house arrest but fled to Colombia, shortly afterwards he turned up in … Miami
Ortega: Went into hiding but reappeared when Chavez said there would be no witch-hunt. He is still leaders of the opposition
Army generals: After being expelled from the Army most of them fled to the US and elsewhere. Others remain in Venezuela and keep working with the opposition.

Listen (right click, and save it as), to the speech given by Colin Powell after Chavez came back to power. Especially when he clears his throat. It’s just beautiful. Click here to download it.

multinational corporations

Filed under: Communism — CSC @ 7:07 am

Local vendors in the past had to maintain a level of integrity and dedication towards their customers not only because of loyalty but more to preserve their own assets. Indeed, if word got around town that a certain individual was not being virtuous, then it was a quick end as everyone would start avoiding that “bad spot”. In today’s world, our vendors are big store in the type of Wall mart, Best Buy, Staples, and so on so forth… Most of us will go in there, if need be ask for information from the underpaid employee who was unlucky enough to from around the corner. He/She could care less about the product, or you as a matter of fact, or worse be over interested in selling you anything he/she can in order to boost his/her sale commission. In the end, you will most probably end up with stuff you won’t know nothing and you will be all happy with yourself for making the “smart buy”. Meanwhile, a larger and larger portion of individuals doesn’t even want to take that step out (possibly because of an overly crowded schedule) and chooses to order online. Now you have the choice to order from across provinces, states, and countries even for your well researched product from a multinational company that you can ‘trust’. Can you though? Does a company like Dell (yes Zorostar I am picking on them hehe) give a darn about you when there is another million user waiting in line for their products? You already bought it and as long as they do the bare minimum to keep you happy to buy again from them or buy as much services as possible they can consider you theirs. You now belong to Dell. You are happy to “belong” in a world where human contact has been minimized to the absolute necessity. You are covered under the corporate logo and are one of “them”. They promised to protect you against that green that you worked all day for. So while you were working all day to earn that cash to belong, you could have been out there socializing and make your happy little life.* The same process is valid the employee hiring and maintenance process. This feeling of ‘belonging’ to the brand is exploited in the advertisement industry to have us buy stuff that we would not need otherwise. This system is only bound to break at some point because of its going against the social nature of individuals in society. We are observing an increase in America, France and other developed countries of the number of depressed young adults and teenagers. If we observe third world countries, even though people do not have access to the necessities of life, they have one another. I was reading a couple of days ago about a trend developing in the US: a high number of students in elementary and high schools are running their own businesses selling paper, pen and other commodities that would otherwise have been shared. There was a sense of pride in the article and it was explaining how this experience was preparing the kids of tomorrow to be entreuprenial. I imagined going to school with one of those young entrepreneurs. — “hey buddy, do you have an extra pen, I forgot mine today?” — “Sure do! Because you are my best pal, It’ll just be 5 bux”. Neocon training is training members for the “National Socialist” party at an earlier and earlier age. I guess they are easier to brain wash when they are young and will be better prepared to fight any of those evil red commies.

Paul Martin criticizes U.N.

Filed under: General — Mercuda @ 11:17 pm

Canadian prime minister Paul Martin criticized the U.N. today, saying that “empty rhetoric” about reform must be replaced with concrete results. He was attending the summit marking the U.N.’s 60th anniversary. See CBC news article.
“Failure to reform the U.N. is not an option,” he said, before realizing his speech was full of empty rhetoric about reform.

And now for some empty rhetoric in regards to empty rhetoric.

Why can’t we have a PM who instead says “Failure to reform in X manner within Y amount of days will result in Canada’s withdrawal from the U.N., whereupon we will call upon other nations to join us in building a new, strong, and vital organization dedicated to world peace”.

First Post

Filed under: Commie Sutra, Communism — CSC @ 4:09 pm

Well here we go I think it’s right about time to make my first post. (After waiting just enough to be fashionably a la mode). To do things in order, I first would like to thank you all for the warm welcome: the gifts (feces) and initiation process (I didn’t know getting beat up by a stick would be so motivating) were really a nice additional touch. It’s actually very interesting that I am posting here because I never thought of myself as a communist and when Hermes first offered me to join; I had to think about it for a second. Yes, I had for idol such individuals as Lenine or Che Guevara but was that enough to make of me a “communist”? I never thought of myself as being as firmly devoted to something as become an “-ist”. It is while I was questioning myself to understand where I was standing at that I realized I didn’t know much about communism other than its broad structure. (Note to self, read more books). What is communism really? What was I going to be standing for? Was I going to become a demon with countless powers according to the American propaganda? Right away, things became clear. Communists have powers over innocent Christian women who do nothing but pray all day. I see that there is already a few of them flying around all attracted to all that communistic charm/magic. Those rusty gears started turning. Magic… Christian… Women… Cows… Witchcraft… Hypocrites… Rejected ugly women… burnt alive… This train of thought brought me right back to reality. After all, wasn’t blind religion the biggest slowdown of human progress? We all saw how the Church’s premonitions about Columbus falling of the side of our flat Earth came true and that his stupid adventurous mind sent him straight to Hell… That will teach him right, that arrogant bastard for going against the will of the Church and the Bible. How did he dare? He got what he deserved! Well all of that to say that I am here now and I want a piece of them great-looking rhino-girls gone wild. I am excited already… YeaY. A final note to leave a fake impression of smartness: “It is very easy to criticize others but much harder for oneself to be correct”.

The funny thing was that it was during the “war on terror” subject…
Don’t you think that God sometimes just makes everything perfect on the dot :) ??

“Donna is hot”…

Filed under: Satire — Mercuda @ 4:29 pm

The first time I ever said that to Purplehaze he literally threw his keyboard in the air and barfed all over the place. Hermes told me, “Something wrong with you man”, in that I’m a frenchman smoking a cigarrette way that only he can pull off.
Despite the pro-Bush, pro-Gitmo, pro-war stuff; despite the way she cuts and pastes what you say and then responds to it with something curt and rather non-sensical, and despite all of her sneering and especially her *grin*s… I think Donna is hot. I can’t help it, just look at those pictures she posts of herself.
She was even egging Jeannie on when Jeannie posted all of that shit about me. But it’s about half a year later, and as I troll around her site and other Christian fundie sites, I just can’t seem to get over it. Donna is so hot.
I’m not even joking. Her husband is a lucky dude. If she wasn’t married I might be like “Hey baby, wassup”. And then we could go out. And when it came to politics we’d just agree to disagree. A communist and a republican living in harmony. She would like me because I’m so damned good looking and funny and smart, and I would like her just because she’s so damned hot. And I would incite arguments with her, but our fights would only culminate in passionate reconciliatory lovemaking. Then we’d have little half-Pocahontases running around.
Donna is so hot.

How your suffering can put $ in somebody’s pockets…

Filed under: Commie Sutra, Communism — Mercuda @ 1:45 am

Socialists agree, and the rest refuse to hear it: Disasters are good for business. Whether an oil pipeline is bombed, trains derailed, or twin towers destroyed - people profit. Stock prices go up. People who play the market make money and secretely (or sometimes openly, lets not kid ourselves) wish things would get worse.

I don’t need to be a stock market trader to know any of this. I now know from personal experience. Weeks ago my room and the rest of the basement where I live with two others was filled almost waist deep with water. I opened the door and saw a river moving by the side of my house. I tried to rescue all of my stupid things until the threat of electrocution was too high, and that’s when I called the fire department and asked about the electrocution threat and getting the water pumped out… But we were left to deal with it on our own. How? Call a private company to test the danger area and then get the water pumped out. After I was told this, my conversation with the emergency operator went as such:
Me - “So somebody’s going to profit from our misfortune?”
Operator - “Well, insurance can -”
“I don’t have insurance, I rent a room.”
“Umm, well… yeah, I guess so… That’s horrible.”
“Uh huh.”

About two days later I went to the laundromat to get most of my clothes cleaned and the place was packed with flood victims. I mentioned to the laundromat employee that they must be happy to be making so much from people’s misfortune, and she said something about “providing a service” and “somebody has to do it,” which may be true… But does it have to turn a profit? Since then, numerous people have made money from our little disaster: Carpenters, pavement people, landscapers, storage space owners, private trash pick-up services, pest control, and the list goes on (and gets bigger as I figure out what I have to replace).

Similarly, businesses are poised to stuff their pockets in New Orleans. Despite all that has been lost, this disaster is going to make some people very happy.

U.S. President George Bush has asked for an overall $51.8 Billion in relief aid , of which $50 Billion will go to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), $1.4 billion to the Department of Defense and $400 million to the Army Corps of Engineers. And how does FEMA manage these emergencies? One way is by contracting out. Just go to the FEMA website and check out “Doing Business With FEMA” to see how right I am. When disasters happen FEMA is partially responsible for making sure businesses can line their pockets with your E Coli tainted money. Just think of all the construction companies, home building companies, landscaping companies, etc. that are going to make a killing because thousands of people got killed.

Those who speak the most about morality are most guilty of ignoring the moral depravity of this situation. Any system that allows some to profit from such havoc is an insult to our human dignity. The billions being thrown into FEMA’s account belong in the hands of people, not corporations.

So what’s the answer?

An enskilled population, community collectives, and the abolition of anything privately owned. Private ownership, simply put, allows others to make money when you suffer. They have the things that you don’t have to get the job done, and they have no incentive to share those things, because if they do they lose money. But under communism each person’s failure to come to the aid of their comrade only hurts themselves. Their comrade works at the market which supplies them with food. Their comrade is involved in the manufacturing or upkeep of the very product the “owner” uses to come to the aid of others. A highly sophisticated and modern market plan can govern the economic life of the collective. Forget about what you know.

It is imperative, overall, in whichever way we choose to reorganize ourselves during a revolution, that in these types of crises, and anywhere else for that matter, nobody can make a profit. It will not be because they are not allowed to turn a profit, it will simply be because it will be impossible. There is no profit to be made. This is the type of morality we must aspire to.

Literally hours after my place flooded my Chinese roomates had disassembled the dryer and were trying to get it working again. They were stripping wires, replacing motor things, and in general, doing all sorts of things I could never do if my life depended on it. These people had useful skills. I was only good for lifting heavy things. Yay for me.
Now my roomates have set up an improvised kitchen outside using parts of our ruined stove and some other makeshift gear. It is all too clear to me that a workforce whose skills are not limited to the bare minimum needed to complete their small portion of work could be extremely successful. But we’re trapped in occupations that use us for one or two very basic skills. And our education prepares us for this through limited practical studies and crafty career-oriented propaganda.
Hell, my roomates are so crafty one of them even stole my chequebook and is cashing cheques in the thousands… daily!
